Fabulous dinner at American Seasons updated from late October Nantucket trip:
Just finished dinner at our most cherished restaurant of Nantucket, American Seasons.
Pls pardon typos; we just enjoyed a bottle+ of a fabulous Pinot Noir (first typed “Pinto,” wee!) and I assaulted proprietor Orla at the bar on my way out of the loo and told her how much I loved her article for Nantucket Magazine about comparing that hidden gem bottle of wine to a Prada bowler bag.
[Cep Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast.]
Heaven.
Sitting on the outside patio by a heater enjoying a beer before dinner was soul-quenching.
[Outdoor patio, semi-blurred from a higher B/A content.]
[Delicious foie gras and crispy fried egg.]
Bundled up and off to go walk off seared salmon, foie gras, pork chop, buffalo, cornbread pudding, brussel sprouts, crispy fried poached eggs and strawberry tea–flavored sorbet. Side note: Rob is actually putting my fringed boots on my feet as I type. I’m helpless with food coma and the man knows what his wife needs.
[I spy, with my little eye… Bonny Doon!]
Gloatingly yours from the paradise of Nantucket,
Carey + Robby
