April is here, and we are having an amazingly warm weekend. Finding excuses to get out of the house started last night with a trek to pick up sushi—Carey even tootled out on her bike this morning for half ‘n’ half! Town’s buzzing—lots to look at.
We walked past the guys smoking cigars in front of our favorite Italian restaurant, resisted the draw of Borders and the wine books held within, yelled over the passing motorcycles showing off for each other with their illegal mufflers, said hi to a local restaurateur (and made a reservation to sit outside tonight), took some pictures in an intersection, said hola to the man sitting in front of the cigar store (same spot I got jumped a few months ago), window shopped for some hair-care products, marveled at the line outside Ben & Jerry’s, and arrived at Sushi Thai Garden with just 25 minutes to spare.
[“Hold very still, Carey, let that car mirror breeze through your scarf.”]
[“If I was rich I would have all these Bumble & Bumble products in my shower.” Reach for the stars, honey!]
[Sandwich board signs rule! So does wine!]
